Our earthworm castings, also known as vermicompost, are odorless, coffee ground-like particles produced by locally grown earthworms. The worms consume and digest their bedding material and feedstock, effectively composting it and adding valuable nutrients. Containing a high volume of water-soluble nutrients, beneficial microbes, bacteria and trace minerals, vermicompost is an excellent nutrient-rich, 100% natural fertilizer and soil conditioner. Apply castings to lawns, all new and existing landscape plantings and vegetable gardens for excellent results. Bottom line: properly produced and harvested worm castings (like ours) is one of the best natural, slow release fertilizers available...A little goes a long way! 100% pesticide and herbicide free. Cedar Hill uses these worm castings in all of our landscape installations.
locally produced!

Because of the physical characteristics of worm castings, we sell them by volume, not weight. 1 quart equals approximately 1 pound. We sell our worm castings for $3.00 per quart (approximately $3.00 per pound) Our $15.00 bag pictured is approximately 5 pounds.

Do your own research and you will find that properly produced aerated Vermicompost Tea is worth it's weight in gold to landscape and growing professionals as well as home gardeners, to name a few. We took our worm tea to the next level when we decided to only brew it with rainwater collected in rain barrels on our property. We start with the captured rainwater, add our worm castings and brew it with active aeration for 24-36 hours...the rest is a secret! And we must say, the rainwater makes all the difference. To us it's just common sense. Plants do not prefer water from a municipal source...nowadays containing who knows how many contaminants, unfortunately. We have solved that problem by guaranteeing each bottle of our 100% Natural Rainwater WormTea is brewed exclusively with captured rainwater. 100% pesticide and herbicide free. Your plants will thank you!! We use Rainwater WormTea on all new plantings as an initial feeding+root stimulant and as a foliar spray in our organic landscape management programs.

This tea is brewed with active aeration at a ratio of 1 part earthworm castings to 10 parts water. This ratio has been proven to be extremely effective in boosting plant growth and aiding in insect pest and disease control. Apply as a soil drench directly on top of plant root zone or spray directly onto the leaf surface using a pressurized hand sprayer. If spraying onto leaf surface, apply in early morning. Satisfaction Guaranteed!

Because of the high level of microbial and enzymatic activity that exists in our aerated Rainwater WormTea, it must be used within 24 hours after aeration process to ensure it's highest level of effectiveness. After that period of time many key nutrients will still remain present, but the oxygen-loving microbes and beneficial bacterial will begin to deteriorate in an non-aerated, anaerobic environment. Because of these qualities, we only sell FRESHLY AERATED Rainwater WormTea, LOCALLY.

We bottle Rainwater WormTea in recycled 2 liter bottles from our family's use or from local recycling centers. We thoroughly clean each bottle, remove the label and affix our own.

Vermicompost From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Vermicompost
is the product or process of composting utilizing various species of worms, specifically red wigglers, white worms, and earthworms creating the heterogeneous mixture of decomposing vegetable or food waste, bedding materials, and pure vermicast produced during the course of normal vermiculture operations. Vermicast, similarly known as worm castings, worm humus or worm manure, is the end-product of the breakdown of organic matter by the species of earthworm.[1]

Containing water-soluble nutrients and bacteria, vermicompost is an excellent, nutrient-rich organic fertilizer and soil conditioner.[2] The process of producing vermicompost is called vermicomposting.
