Here's how it works.
If you are in need of professional landscape design/build services, give us a call! Our initial consultation and site visit are always free. If there is a need for a landscape or hardscape design, we will produce a beautifully detailed, 3D presentation showing your proposed project. Depending on the complexity, expect the design process to take about 2 weeks. Once the initial design is complete, a second meeting will be scheduled to review and discuss the design and associated costs. At this time, a design fee is paid to Cedar Hill and the design is yours to keep. We would be happy to make any revisions you may require during this phase as well. If we get a go ahead on your project the design fee will be credited to your final invoice, our way of saying thank you for your business. We would be happy to install your project at a later date. Estimates are valid for 60 days.
Fees:
Residential/commercial landscape design (softscape or hardscape only): $100.00-$200.00
Residential/commercial landscape design (softscape and hardscape combined): $200.00-$300.00
Fee includes (1) revision. Addition design work billed at $50/hr.
'Softscape' refers to plant material, lawn areas and planting beds.
'Hardscape' refers to patios, steps, decks, walls, stonework, etc.

Introductions:
The purpose of our initial meeting is simple...we listen to what you want, what you need and how you live. We talk about how you intend to use the space. Do you want a patio or outdoor kitchen? Maybe you built a house two or three years ago and are just now finding the time to think about landscaping. This is the time when we listen and start the process of solving your landscape issues. Once we fully understand your needs, recommendations will be made about placement of hard and softscape materials to help achieve your desires in the best possible ways...all tailored to optimize the beauty, value and character of your property. Budget is also a critical part of our first meeting. Before designing a plan for your property, we want you to know what you will get for your money. We make sure all of your desires fit your budget, and explain how material choices affect cost. By the end of the first meeting, we achieve clarity regarding expectations and budgeting, as this determines how we approach the next critical phase: design.
Design and Estimates:
Following the initial meeting, a beautifully detailed, 3D design is prepared for your project. Function is a major consideration during the design phase. Much thought is given to how each element will be used and how it fits with the master plan and your lifestyle. A formal estimate is presented based upon the design and initial conversations, and then we sit down to fine tune the details and costs of the project. This information is then used to revise the design if necessary before construction starts.
Preparation and installation. One job at a time:
Hardscape elements such as patios, walkways or retaining walls always come first, followed by plantings. Since Cedar Hill only works on one project at a time, you have our full attention every day. We do not leave to work on another project until yours is completed, perfectly. At Cedar Hill, you have access to the owner, Justin Vancil, any time. Justin is the designer, estimator and project manager all rolled into one. He leads his expert crew every day bringing beautiful designs to life. Creating a transparent and open communication process helps ensure the original visions is fulfilled as it was planned. In effect, Cedar Hill changes the landscape process from one that can be stressful and frustrating into one that is carefree and exciting.
